2 Steps Are Better Than 1 for CDI Testing

Independent research presented at the 2023 European Congress of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases (ECCMID 2023) shows that, when compared to a one-step algorithm of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing alone, a two-step C. difficile algorithm including a toxin EIA improved C. difficile infection (CDI) detection and reduced unnecessary treatment.
